Noti & the noti fob
Last updated July 10, 2026
Noti is built so that your notification content never leaves your iPhone. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no servers of ours that receive your data. Everything below explains exactly what that means.
What stays on your device
Your iPhone hands notifications to the noti fob over an encrypted, paired Bluetooth link (Apple’s ANCS). The noti fob relays them back to the Noti app on the same iPhone. All of it — the apps, titles, and message content of your notifications — is stored only in a database on your device. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to us.
On-device intelligence
Optional “smart” rules that match notifications by meaning run entirely on your iPhone using Apple Intelligence. Your notifications are not sent to us or to any third party to do this.
The only data that leaves your device
- Webhooks you create. If you add a Webhook rule, matching notifications are sent to the exact URL you specify (for example, your own Slack, Discord, or Home Assistant endpoint). This happens only for rules you set up, only to destinations you choose, and the content is governed by that service’s privacy policy — not ours.
- Firmware updates. The app downloads noti fob firmware from andrew.net. This is an ordinary download of a public file; no information about you or your notifications is sent.
What we collect
Nothing. Noti has no analytics or tracking SDKs, requires no account, and does not transmit usage data, identifiers, or notification content to us.
Permissions
- Bluetooth — to connect to your noti fob.
- Notifications — so rules can re-alert you (for example, breaking an important notification through a Focus).
- Local network — only if you point a Webhook rule at a device on your own network.
Data retention & deletion
Your notification history lives on your device until you remove it. Deleting the Noti app removes its on-device database and all stored notifications.
Children
Noti is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
